Our Story

We started our first company, Washashore Bowties, while living in a camper, sewing every product we sold. With a passion for small and local businesses, we decided to re-brand and open a store, selling the most premium ice cream and wonderful local merchandise. Come to downtown Harwich Port and taste the best new thing!

Connor has a passion for bow ties and design. Ron has a passion for delicious ice cream. Together we built Washashore Bowties. After 3 years, we decided combine our passions into a whole new experience for locals and tourists alike!

More About Us

Our story began in 2017, when Connor was working for a Fortune 5 company. His tie became stuck in a conveyor belt. Hesitant to wear ties, but still required by dress code, he decided to make the switch to bow ties. Surprised by the high prices, he decided to learn to sew and started making his own bow ties. They were a quick hit around the community and he Washashore Bowties was formed. At the time, Connor and Ron were living in a 1999 Winnebago. Connor would sew outside on the picnic table, on the kitchen nook table, or even the passenger seat! After a few years of growing their brand and with a dream of opening a store and a passion for delicious ice cream, Connor and Ron decided to open their first Ice Cream & Soda Fountain! After rebranding, Washashore Bowties became Seagulls, and we can be found in the heart of Harwich Port. Come hang out and relax with some delicious ice cream, frozen desserts, signature sundaes, craft sodas or candies! While your here, make sure to shop our Artisans Corner, where we sell Seagulls merchandise, as well as other vendors from around Cape Cod!
